At Pack 994, we enjoy doing a lot of different things with our Cub Families. Our typical annual highlights include:
Late Summer/ Fall:
- Lego Derby
- Scout Night with a pro sports team. Usually the Braves, but the Falcons and Atlanta United have had Scout Days before, as well.
- Pack Campout
- Halloween-themed meeting; Troop 994, also chartered by HUMC, hosts a fun night of lots of games and lots of candy for our Scouts
- And specifically for our Webelos/ Arrow of Light Scouts (i.e. 4th & 5th grade)
- They are usually invited to camp with Troop 994 for a weekend and with Troop 641 on another weekend
- Trail Days (formerly Webelos-ree) – a district-wide camping event exclusively for our 4th & 5th graders.
Winter:
- Winter Trip – overnight trip, indoors in lieu of cold-weather camping. Somewhere with a mix of education and fun. Past trips have included the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier, Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, Zoo Atlanta, and Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies
- Pinewood Derby – we even have a Sibling division and a Parent division if there is interest
Spring:
- Our Blue and Gold Banquet is an exciting time and has a different theme every year. With both pride and sadness, we celebrate our 5th graders as cross over into their new Troops, we share a delicious meal, reflect on the highlights of the year, and often have some entertainment.
- Spring campout
- Raingutter Regatta
- An exciting year end Pack meeting with a promotion to their new ranks, ice cream sundaes, and fun all around.
